A. PREREQUISITES
- Pro, Business, or Enterprise Zoom account.
- Windows or macOS Zoom client with a minimum version of 5.7.3.
B. INSTALLATION
- Go directly to https://marketplace.zoom.usand search for “Wordly App for Zoom.”
- Open Zoom and install the Wordly App for Zoom from there.
- In Zoom, click on the “Apps” tab as shown in the image.
- Click on “Discover.”
- Look for the “Wordly App for Zoom.”
- If it is not there, click on “Discover more apps on App Marketplace.”
- Search for “Wordly App for Zoom.”
- Click on “Visit site to Install.
C. HOST SET UP
If you already have an account, you can link or sign in directly, else you can click on Register.
D. ENABLE: LIVE STREAMING
- If you are starting on the Zoom Website, this will be under “Personal » Settings.”
- If you are starting from Zoom, this will be under “Preferences » General » View More Settings.”
E. PURCHASE WORDLY MINUTES
- A host is required to have enough minutes in their linked Wordly account to cover the translation sessions they host.

Outside of a meeting, you can click on the “Purchase Minutes” button from within the Wordly App for Zoom if you have linked your Wordly account. This will open the Wordly Portal in a Web browser where you can purchase more minutes. Alternatively, Wordly minutes can be purchased at any time through the Wordly Portal.
HOW TO HOST A WORDLY SESSION
F. PREREQUISITES
- You must be the Zoom host and be the one who scheduled the Zoom meeting.
- Your Wordly App for Zoom must be linked to a Wordly account:
- New Wordly sessions will be created using this account.
- Wordly minutes will be drawn from this account.
- Transcripts, if requested, will be saved into this account.
- You must have “Live Streaming” enabled.
- There must be enough minutes in your linked Wordly account to run the session.
- It is highly recommended that you and other meeting participants enable original sound in their Zoom preferences for the absolute best translation experience.
G. STARTING A SESSION
- Click on the “Apps” button after starting your Zoom meeting.

Click on “Wordly App for Zoom”.
- Confirm the language for the first speaker in your meeting. This is the language Wordly will be translating from.
- Click “Start” to start the Wordly translation session
H. MANAGING THE SPEAKER’S LANGUAGE
Wordly needs to know the language that speakers in your meeting will be using. By default, the Wordly App for Zoom assumes that speakers in a meetings will be using the default language specified in the host’s Wordly account.
- Expand the “Host Controls” by clicking on the tab icon if they are not already visible.
- Then click on Add Speaker Language and select from the list
I. SHARING THE WORDLY APP FOR ZOOM
As a meeting host, your participants will translations if they are also using the Wordly App for Zoom. Anyone can install the app for free, and users do not need a Wordly account to see translations
- Click the Zoom “Send” button.
- Attendees will receive a quick link to the app in the marketplace so that they can install it during your meeting.
